My Cake Smash Sessions are fully in-home (or outdoor, if you prefer), designed to fit your family’s space, comfort, and style. No studio, no travel stress, no rushing.
You stay home.

Pre-Session Planning
We’ll talk through everything — theme ideas, outfit colors, props, and what fits best in your home or outdoor space.
If you have no idea where to start, I’ll guide you with suggestions and simple inspiration.
Custom Mini Setup - Styled in Your Space
I bring a clean, minimal setup that fits beautifully into your home:
- Coordinated backdrop or themed décor (based on your vision)
- Simple props, garlands, balloons, or florals
- Floor covering
- High chair or ground-level setup
Your space becomes the set — cozy, natural, and personal.
Themes can be:
- Neutral + minimal
- Pastel + playful
- Seasonal
- Subtle character-inspired
- Color-driven (blush, cream, sage, tan, etc.)
Note: Cake is provided by you. I can recommend smash-friendly bakers.
Three-Part Session Flow
Every Cake Smash Session includes three parts:
(1) Individual Portraits of Baby
We start clean and simple — a few classic, sweet portraits of your baby before the mess.
Perfect for invitations, keepsakes, and memory books.
(2) The Cake Smash
Then it’s smash time.
I capture the curiosity, the reactions, the smiles, the frosting fingers — everything from that first poke to the big grin.
(3) Your Choice:
Choose one of the following to finish the session:
- A Family Portrait, or
- A Sibling Portrait, or
- Extra Baby Portraits (additional solo shots in another corner of the home)
This gives your gallery variety and makes the session feel personal and complete.
What’s Included in Your Cake Smash Session
Edited Online Gallery
After your session, you’ll receive:
- A curated online gallery
- Professionally edited, high-resolution photos
- The number of included images based on your collection
- Option to purchase additional photos, prints, or full gallery
Turnaround time is typically 1–2 weeks.
Where Sessions Take Place
Perfect for comfort, naps, and quick changes.
Plus, photos look more personal and authentic.
If you prefer a natural setting, an outdoor smash (or pre-smash portraits) can be done in a nearby park, field, or your backyard.
No studio sessions are offered at this time — everything is intentionally home-based for comfort and convenience.

I keep things minimal, clean, and styled to fit naturally in your home — nothing overwhelming, nothing distracting.
I bring:
A soft, coordinated mini setup (neutral décor, garland, or simple accents)
- A floor covering to protect your space
- A small selection of minimal props
- A few styling pieces that match your chosen colors
- Gentle posing + full direction
- A simple, baby-led flow so your little one stays comfortable and happy
Think of it as adding small, tasteful touches — not an entire backdrop wall or studio set.
It keeps your photos timeless and your home looking like your home, just dressed up a little.
What you Bring
Since sessions take place in your home (or outdoors), you’ll handle the personal touches:
- The cake (smash-friendly + sized for your baby)
- Baby’s outfits — I’ll send a guide with color suggestions
- Any large or themed décor you’d love to include (balloon arches, big props, banners, custom themes, etc.)
- High chair if you want those classic “cake in the chair” photos
- Towels/wipes for the post-smash cleanup moment
If you’re dreaming of something more themed — boho, character-inspired, seasonal, or full Pinterest vibes — you’re welcome to bring those extra details, and I’ll style them into the setup.

Do you bring the cake?
Upon request, but parents typically provide the cake. (I can also recommend bakers who make smash-friendly cakes.)
Will my home look okay for photos?
YES. I work with natural light, neutral walls, and small styled setups. You don’t need a Pinterest house, just one window and a corner is enough.
Can siblings or parents join?
Absolutely. You can choose a family portrait or sibling portrait as the third part of your session.
What if my baby doesn’t like the cake?
Totally normal. We still capture beautiful moments with expressions, details, and alternative mini portraits.
